Heronswood House & Garden

Mornington Peninsula

Heronswood Gardens, Nursery and Restaurant is an idyllic location to escape the crowds. Discover the stunning gardens which showcase the best flowers and plants for Australian conditions. Shop for rare and unusual plants, heritage fruit and heirloom seeds in our nursery and dine in our Fork to Fork restaurant featuring seasonal produce grown in our own garden.

Heronswood is a breathtaking historic property situated on two hectares of formal gardens and home to the Digger’s Club. The gardens comprise stunning perennial and annual borders as well as kitchen and vegetable parterre gardens, providing inspiration to cooks and gardeners.

The restaurant is located within the historic house surrounded by stunning grounds and the beautiful Heronswood gardens. The menu changes weekly within the seasons, just as the gardens do, and features the freshest and tastiest organic heirloom vegetables and fruit from our own gardens matched with local produce and wines. With sweeping vistas over the beautiful gardens and stunning sea views, the restaurant offers a wonderful place to escape from the crowds and relax over lunch or to recharge over morning or afternoon tea.

Browse through the Garden Shop and Nursery and speak to knowledgeable staff for expert gardening advice. The Diggers Garden Shop stocks the complete Diggers range of heirloom seeds and plants, plus garden hardware and books for all your garden needs.

The Diggers Club is Australia’s largest gardening club, we believe everyone can grow a beautiful and productive garden and we can show you how!

Entry to wander through Heronswood Gardens and Restaurant is free for Diggers members and children under 16, and $10 for visitors. There is no entry charge to visit the shop.
