Tesselaar Tulip Festival
Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges
The Tesselaar Tulip Festival began in 1954 and has since grown to become one of Victoria’s most iconic tourist attractions. Set on a 25-acre working farm in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges, it offers a visually breathtaking sight over one million spring flowers in bloom. The fields burst into colour each September and include over 130 different varieties of tulips alone.
Tulips are the stars of the show but there is also live entertainment, daily activities, market stalls and culinary delights from around the globe.
Enjoy the Dutch costumes, tractor rides, pick your own tulip patch, replica windmills, sculpture exhibit, souvenir shops and more. With a kaleidoscope of colour in the fields along with the adjacent show gardens there are endless photo opportunities for visitors. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens or indulge in local produce. This is a unique experience found nowhere else in Victoria.
The festival runs for just four weeks Mid-September to Mid-October. 10 am until 5 pm.
Dogs on lead welcome. Free off street car and bus parking.
